Solar photovoltaic (pv) panels work by absorbing sunlight with pv cells, generating direct current (DC) energy and then converting it to usable alternating current (AC) electricity with the help of inverter technology.
This electricity then flows through the home’s electrical panel and is distributed accordingly to power your electronic devices in real time.
Excess electricity produced by solar pv panels is fed through a bi-directional meter that keeps track of the kilowatt hours you are shipping back to the grid in a process called Net Metering.
