Office Administrator/Customer Service

About the Position:

One of the primary responsibilities is to be the voice of the company with our customers. Working with the customer to set up appointments for installations and service work, handling issues with the systems and answering any questions that they may call in with. Linked to this, is working with our installation/electrical team to schedule jobs and service work, as well as, ensure that everyone involved has all the necessary information to complete their tasks.

The role requires an individual who shares our company values, who is passionate about delivering exceptional quality work and is excited to help us tackle challenges to succeed in our business.

Responsibilities:

  • Answer office phones and emails
  • Schedule initial site visit
  • Schedule installations & service calls
  • Schedule tasks with local utilities
  • Maintain shared calendar
  • Keeping notes during sales and production meetings
  • Track installations to ensure there are no road blocks
  • Work with Finance, Sales, Marketing and Operations with special projects

Qualifications:

  • Degree preferred but education and/or equivalent office experience considered
  • A team player, with the ability to carry out tasks autonomously and collaboratively
  • Detail-oriented; self-starter, and driven
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask to complete a wide variety of tasks
  • Strong problem-solving skills and analytical abilities

Solar Sales Consultant

About the Position

3rd ROC Solar specializes in solar energy solutions in the Western New York and Finger Lakes markets. We design and install both residential and commercial solar energy systems. We are currently seeking talented sales professionals to join our phenomenally successful team. Our consultants deliver a product presentation to homeowners and assist them in designing a system that best meets their electric energy needs.

Compensation

Our compensation plan rewards solid performance with a strong commission rate, as well as the opportunity for performance bonuses and incentives. Our sales force is made up of top performers who are highly compensated and typically earn $150,000 and beyond in their 1st year.

Training and Culture

We provide training and ongoing support to assist you in closing the sale. Our installation crews perform top-drawer installations that result in lots of referrals. You will also be supported by an experienced management team and professional inside sales team.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-home sales presentations to build trust and educate homeowners about solar energy including energy cost savings, clean energy, and a great investment to increase home value.

Solar Electrician

About the Position

We are currently seeking a SOLAR ELECTRICIAN! You will strive to provide safe electrical systems for a variety of customers.

Our solar install teams (3-4 people) install mostly residential & small commercial grid-tied solar throughout the Finger Lakes and Southern Tier.

The Solar Electrician is primarily responsible for the electrical connections between the solar photovoltaic (PV) system and the customer’s electrical service along with any upgrades to the customer’s electrical service. The Solar Electrician is expected to assist the install crews with system installations as needed. If the candidate has limited to no background in the solar industry but a strong resume in the electrical field, we are willing to train.

The Solar Electrician will ensure that all work installed is completed in accordance with the standards set forth by the Company, and in accordance with all applicable plans, specifications, codes, and industry standards.

General Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds

  • Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems

General Job Responsibilities

  • Plan and carry out electrical construction tasks in a team environment, making changes when necessary due to weather, supply, delivery, and personnel
  • Conduct quality control inspections on project sites
  • Install electrical and solar PV systems in accordance with codes and standards using drawings, schematics and instructions.
  • Activate solar PV systems to verify systems functionality and conformity to performance expectations
  • Apply weather sealing to array, building or support mechanisms
  • Examine designs to determine current requirements for all parts of the solar PV systems
  • Install required labels on solar PV system components and hardware
  • Visually inspect and test solar PV modules or systems
  • Be able to appropriately diagnose malfunctions in systems, apparatus, and components using test equipment and hand tools to locate the cause of breakdown and take appropriate steps to correct the problem
  • Regularly report project status to supervisors, site engineers and other officials
  • Lead by example—set, monitor, and enforce the standards of safety, and exemplary quality of work set forth by the Company
  • Analyze and quickly resolve any work problems that may arise and ensures that all deficiencies on any given project are corrected in a timely manner

Qualification requirements:

  • High School Diploma, Equivalent, or Vocational training in a closely related field
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in a commercial construction setting
  • Previous experience in electrical engineering or other related fields
  • Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
  • Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
  • Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
  • Highly motivated, self starter who is meticulous and takes pride in your work
  • Excellent teamwork skills- able to foster a positive team environment
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license and clean driving record
